Driving Biological Projects
An important strategy for our biomedical computingn research and software development is to make our tools relevant for the broader biomedical community by driving our research and software development in close collaboration with biomedical researchers whose research necessitates using image-based modeling, simulation, and visualization designated as our Driving Biomedical Projects (DBPs). To this end, we have assembled a team of biomedical researchers pursuing important problems that span significant biomedical research breadth. By collaborating with these researchers, we will help them to solve their specific problems, while at the same time generalizing our underlying techniques and software for use by the larger biomedical research community, with the goal of having the widest possible impact.
