BIOEN 5201 -
Introduction to Biomechanics - Student Presentations
(Only for BIOEN 6900-2 students)
The objective of the student presentations is to expose the student and the rest of the class to current research in areas of biomechanics that are relevant to the course topics. Additionally, this provides the student with the opportunity to critically evaluate original scientific literature and to formulate a concise, informative presentation to an audience of peers.
I will supply an original research article or several articles on a topic relevant to the course one week before the presentation date below. The student presentation should summarize and critically review the article or articles. It may be necessary to obtain copies of referenced articles in preparation of your critical review. Students should prepare a presentation directed to the knowledge level of the other students. The presentation should be approximately five minutes long, but no longer than ten minutes. It should utilize appropriate audio-visual tools and figures/illustrations. Grading will be based on the content and delivery of the presentation.
