I completed my Ph.D. at the Scientific Computing and Imaging (SCI) Institute, the University of Utah. I worked
under the guidance of Prof. Valerio Pascucci at the SCI Institute, and
Dr. Peer-Timo Bremer, at the Lawrence Livermore National
Laboratory (LLNL). My Ph.D. research focused on the analysis of vector fields. In particular, I developed new representations
and theories to perform consistent feature extraction from vector field data.

Consistent Feature Extraction From Vector Fields: Combinatorial Representations and Analysis Under Local Reference Frames
In Fall 2008, I joined SCI as a student for the M.S. in the Computational
Engineering and Science (CES) program. CES is an interdisciplinary program that gave me the flexibility to study
the entire simulation pipeline ranging from modeling a real world problem, to solving it and then visualizing it. Inspired
and intrigued by the various fields I got to explore during my M.S., in Spring 2011, I converted to the Ph.D. in Computing
program with a focus in Graphics and Visualization. In January 2012, I was awarded the Lawrence Graduate Scholarship which funded
my graduate research. I successfully defended my thesis on October 30, 2014.

- GridSearch: Implemented an integration of 2 web services to perform text search over a data grid. Used GT4 (Globus Toolkit 4) and standards of Web Services. (Project Guide: Dr. Sanjay Chaudhary)
- Carom: Using the OPENGL & GLUT library to make a unique 2-D 'carom' game that can be played by upto 4 players simultaneously. The project required an extensive knowledge of VC++ & OPENGL. (Project Guide: Dr. Nitin Raje)
- Sensors2LCD (using ATMEGA32 microcontroller by ATMEL) - A USB interface that fetches out important system information from the kernel to display on the LCD attached with the microcontroller. - Slate (The Personal Management System): A software engineering project to make an online personal management system. The project makes extensive use of various theories, concepts & models used in Software Engineering.
