Background

I did my Bachelor of Science in Materials Science & Engineering with dual emphases in biomaterials and nanotechnology at The Johns Hopkins University. At Hopkins, I won the Provost Undergraduate Research Award (PURA), the senior design presentation award, the senior design award, was invited to the Hopkins Technology Symposium and was a finalist in the Space Vision business plan competition. I am currently a pre-PhD candidate in the Electrical & Computer Engineering program at the University of Utah and am heading a project to help the international scientific community named Faraday Finder.

Current Responsibilities

I am involved in the design of experiments for creating aligned collagen scaffolds for tissue engineering and multi-scale modeling validation applications.

Research Interests

At Hopkins, I studied the neuronal differentiation of human embryonic stem cell-derived neural crest stem cells by pulsed electric field under Dr. Hai-quan Mao. I also worked on creating nanobeacon self assembled molecular beacon surfactants in Dr. Honggang Cui's laboratory. In my graduate research, I was involved in the computational modeling of the magnetic stimulation of rat sciatic nerve under Dr. Gianluca Lazzi.
