Current Responsibilities

  • Development of a shoulder simulator to test kinetics and kinematics of shoulder pathology and repair
  • Biomechanics of reverse total shoulder arthroplasty
  • Techniques for open and arthroscopic biceps tenodesis
  • Relationships and geometry of bony landmarks in clinical radiography
  • Micro- and macro-scale contributions of elastin to ligament mechanics

Research Interests

My goal is to be involved in research that will someday benefit people who have suffered bone/muscle/ligament damage with a special emphasis on the shoulder. I have spent enough time recovering from sports injuries not to wonder how I got hurt and how I can recover faster. Being able to understand and predict the results of injury, repair and rehabilitation will help us treat the injuries more effectively.
