Designed especially for neurobiologists, FluoRender is an interactive tool for multi-channel fluorescence microscopy data visualization and analysis.
Large scale visualization on the Powerwall.
BrainStimulator is a set of networks that are used in SCIRun to perform simulations of brain stimulation such as transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and magnetic transcranial stimulation (TMS).
Developing software tools for science has always been a central vision of the SCI Institute.

Background

I graduated with a Ph.D. in Mathematics (Differential Geometry) from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2013 and was appointed an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Dixie State University in St. George, Utah that same year. I stepped down from serving as Chair of the Department of Mathematics at Dixie State University and joined SCI in 2017.

Current Responsibilities

I work on the SCI Project entitled "Machine Learning and Signature Analysis of Nuclear Forensic Data" for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Research Interests

Image Analysis and Image Processing, Machine Learning, Differential Geometry and Optimal Mass Transport Theory, Monge-Ampère Equations, Smooth Metric Measure Spaces, Isoperimetric Inequalities, Hessian Metrics, Geometric Flows, Ricci Curvature Bounds, Physical Chemistry, and Computational Geometry.
