Background

I was accepted into the bioengineering Ph.D program at the University of Utah in Fall 2008. Prior to my acceptance I had received a B.S. in bioengineering from the U as well as associate degrees in electrical, mechanical, and computer engineering from the College of Southern Idaho in 2005.

Current Responsibilities

I study electrical models of partial thickness ishcemia with the heart.  Under the direction of Dr. Rob Macleod, I build models that represent the electrical effects of reduced blood flow to regions of the heart.  My responsibilities include: geometry segmentation, meshing, data mapping, computer simulation, and data analysis.  Major areas of research include: subject-specific modeling, source identification & parameterization, and uncertainty analysis.
